He poured lube on his fingers and eased two into Kieve’s waiting hole. The muscle clamped down and Reese couldn’t stop his groan.

“Fuck, lovely, I’m not going to last long if you do that.”

“Need you.” Kieve rocked his hips back, sending Reese’s fingers deeper into that tight ass. He didn’t have the patience to fully stretch Kieve tonight and, thankfully, his lover didn’t seem to want it either. He lined his cock up to Kieve’s opening and pushed in. The hot grip of that sweet ass made him want to howl. He squeezed his lips shut, holding the sound inside, and pressed forward. He tried to go slow, worried that Kieve might be sore from last night, but Kieve moved into him, urging Reese deeper.

He could feel Kieve’s tension for a moment before he relaxed and let Reese inside him.

“That’s it, love. Take all of me.” He gripped Kieve’s hips, not to pull the man back but to hold him in place so he could fill him slowly. He didn’t want Kieve to get hurt because of his impatience. Reese eased his cock deeper, feeling the squeeze along his shaft.

Slowly, he continued forward until he was balls-deep inside Kieve’s ass, holding himself still.

“You okay, love?”

Kieve moaned and wriggled his hips.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” Reese chuckled as he eased back, retreating until the head of his cock was just inside Kieve’s hole before pushing back in. The controlled penetration made him concentrate on his movements instead of just pounding the way he wanted.

He knew that was coming, just as Kieve did, but he wanted to make sure Kieve was with him the whole way. Kieve released this soft, gasping noise as Reese thrust back in. Reese smiled into the dark and repeated the movement, knowing he’d found that sweet spot in Kieve’s ass.

Kieve rocked back, trying to get Reese to move faster, but Reese seemed determined to make this a slow, gentle fuck. And that was so not what Kieve wanted tonight.

He thought about those nights in his bed, when his “dream lover” Reese had talked dirty to him, how it had aroused both of them.

Kieve arched his back and gave his hips a pump. The solid movement shoved Reese’s cock again Kieve’s gland and that wicked spark shot up his spine.

“Oh, fuck. Again. I love the feel of your dick in my ass. Fuck me.”

The words seemed to ignite something inside Reese. He reared back, then slammed his hips forward, driving his cock into Kieve’s hole. Kieve grabbed the desk, holding himself in place to take the hard, perfect thrusts. Damn, it felt so good. Even the ache from being fucked three times in two days felt perfect.

A low growl erupted from behind him. He was becoming familiar with the sound. The hands on his hips tightened and the prick of sharp nails bit into his skin, heightening all his senses. Kieve lost himself in sensation, letting Reese pound him, every stroke taking Kieve higher.

“Can you come, lovely? Without touching your cock...can you come?”

“Fuck, yes, just don’t...stop.”

“Not going to stop.” Reese panted and slammed into him again. “Need this tight ass wrapped around my dick. Need to feel you squeeze—”

The words combined with the powerful thrusts and Kieve lost it, coming and spilling all over the top of his desk. Seconds later, Reese shouted and filled Kieve’s ass, holding himself deep in Kieve’s passage, his cock jerking as he came.

Reese sighed and collapsed, falling onto Kieve’s back. Kieve smiled and took the weight.

They stood there for a long time, just breathing, being with each other. Finally, Kieve’s knees started to tremble so he squirmed. Reese groaned but straightened, sliding his cock out of Kieve’s hole and taking a step back.

Kieve turned around and looked at Reese. The same blank, unseeing eyes stared back at him, except now he could see the satisfaction that blazed in those blue depths.

Kieve couldn’t resist. He leaned in and placed a light kiss on Reese’s mouth.

“Can you stay?” Kieve asked, not wanting to lose his lover so soon.

“For a bit.”

Kieve smile deepened. “Let’s clean up and I’ll make some dinner.” He took Reese’s hand and led him down the hallway.

“Sounds good.” Reese tugged on Kieve’s arm. “Just one thing.”

Kieve braced himself for whatever made Reese so grim.

“That last hamburger was a bit well done.”

The tension left Kieve’s muscles in an instant. “Seriously? You’re going to criticize my cooking? I thought I was feeding a wolf, not a fussy chef.”

Reese’s eyes widened innocently. “I wasn’t criticizing. I was commenting, suggesting that
maybe
you might want to cook the meat a little easier.”

Kieve rolled his eyes even though he knew Reese couldn’t see him.

“Next time I’ll let you cook.”

“Right,” Reese mocked as they started down the hall. “Let the blind guy near the stove.”

Kieve chuckled and the sound shocked him just a little.

His lover was a werewolf. He should be more freaked out about this.

There was so much he didn’t understand. He could ask Reese or maybe do a little research on his own.

Kieve decided that was the best choice. Tomorrow he’d get on the Internet, maybe hit a bookstore and see what he could find on werewolves.

Tonight, he was going to enjoy being with Reese.

Chapter Ten

Kieve strolled into the bar, feeling more comfortable—at least, comfortable with the location. His zipper was digging into his cock with just the thought of seeing Reese.

He tried to keep his stride even and casual, but walking normally was a challenge. Reese had pounded his ass last night and the night before. Kieve was still feeling it. And with every ache, he remembered the low heavy groans as Reese fucked him. God, just the sounds and the scents of the two of them together made Kieve hard.

Having Reese inside him was different from any other lover.

He tugged out the tails of his shirt, hoping to hide his hard-on, and walked up to the counter.

Micah, not Reese, stood behind the bar.

“Hey man,” he greeted. He still wasn’t sure about Micah, the guy came across as a bit of an asshole, but Kieve had dealt with assholes before. Didn’t usually bother him.

Micah raised his chin in greeting and kept mixing drinks.

“Uh, is Reese around?” They’d made kind of loose plans to see each other. Kieve vaguely remembered Reese telling him to come by this afternoon, but Reese had been kissing him and jacking him off at the time so the actual facts of the situation were a little fuzzy.

Kieve had spent the morning researching. He’d found stuff on the Internet but the overwhelming amount of information drove him from the house and he ended up at the mall bookstore—searching for books on werewolves. He’d found some in the legends and myths section. And a bunch in the romance section. Strangely, those had been more helpful than reading about legends that talked of men who turned into monsters—big hairy beasts that roamed the land in search of prey. Reese didn’t turn into a monster. He turned into a wolf. A lovely, pretty wolf.

Kieve had purchased several books, then sat down in the food court to read.

He was pretty sure that was where his phone had been stolen. He’d left it in his jacket when he’d walked away to dump his tray. That must have been it. It also meant he couldn’t call to check on the time.

Micah grimaced. “Obviously not or I wouldn’t be mixing, would I?”

Right. Asshole.

“Dex!” Micah called out. “Where’s Reese? His boyfriend is here.”

Kieve winced at the term. He was a little too old to be someone’s “boyfriend.” Besides, he didn’t know what he was to Reese. He hadn’t quite gotten over the whole “I turn into a wolf thing.” It was cool but still a little freaky.

He glanced at Micah. He was probably one, too. Reese hadn’t said anything about there being more of them, but if anyone was going to turn into an animal, it would be the big dude behind the bar. His whole personality screamed “big, bad wolf.”

He glanced around the room, trying to pick out which of the patrons might be a werewolf.

He shivered at the thought and if he had any smarts he’d probably be running the other direction, but damn it, he liked Reese.

The connection between them was strong. He’d never believed in love at first sight, but something drew him to Reese. He knew it was mostly sex. They hadn’t had that many conversations, but still, he liked what he saw and he loved Reese in wolf form.

Dex popped out of the storage room, his eyes wide and a little confused.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

Kieve shrugged. “Reese and I have a date, I guess you’d call it.”

“I know, but he went off to meet you.” Dex lowered his chin to his shoulder and peered up at Kieve. “You texted him to meet you.”

“No, my cell phone got jacked earlier today. Besides, why would I text a blind man?”

Dex took in a long, deep breath. “Fuck, I thought that was a little weird. Micah, we have a problem.”

Dex spun around and stared at the big man who was clearly their leader.

“What?”

“Reese is gone.”

“So?”

Kieve moved closer. The worry in Dex’s voice and the tension binding his muscles translated into sheer panic.

“He was going to meet Kieve, but Kieve’s here and that kid, that Jason, he’s gone.”

The muscles at the back of Kieve’s neck tightened. Sure he was a little
concerned
about the fact that his lover turned into something furry, but that didn’t mean he didn’t care.

“That guy? The one who was here yesterday?”

Dex nodded. “When Reese got your text, Jason offered to drive him to the meeting.”

“I knew there was something weird about that guy.” Kieve shook his head. “He warned me off, told me not see Reese any more. I thought he was jealous and wanted Reese to himself.”

“He might but Reese didn’t want him. He wanted you.”

“Did Reese say where they were going?” Micah asked.

Dex sighed. “No.”

“So, Reese’s stalker might have him somewhere.”

“He could be a bit more than a stalker,” Dex warned but didn’t explain further.

“Call his cell,” Micah commanded.

Kieve patted his pockets and grunted, remembering that he’d lost his phone. Dex quickly pulled his phone out, dialed and handed it to Kieve.

It rang twice. Reese answered.

“Hey, Dex.”

“It’s Kieve.”

“Oh, hey lovely. Where are you?”

“I’m at the Red Dragon. Reese? Are you okay?”

Reese giggled. “I’m freakin’ wonderful.” He giggled again. “But you’re not here and you’re supposed to be here so we can get naked. I like naked with you.” His words slurred together.

“Reese, where are you?”

“I’m looking for you.” He sighed, sounding exasperated that Kieve wasn’t there. “Where are you?”

“Reese...”

Voices rumbled in the background.

“Shit! He’s got his phone.”

“Well, get it.”

“Fuck. What’s she doing here?” The chemical laughter disappeared from Reese’s voice. He breathed hard into the phone like he couldn’t catch his breath. “Lovely, I don’t want to be here. Where are you?”

“Reese, give me your phone.” The soft male voice crooned through the line. “I’m going to take you to him.”

“You promise?”

“No!” Kieve shouted through the phone. “Don’t go with him, Reese, babe, tell me where you are. Reese!” he cried again, but he could already tell the call had been dropped.

He looked up at Dex and Micah.

“Something’s wrong.”

“How’d he sound?”

“Drunk. High.”

“Reese doesn’t drink or do drugs. They freak him out.”

“Well, he’s on something.” The knot in his stomach grew. “Someone’s got him.”

Reese blinked and looked up at Jason. He was going to take him to Kieve. He’d promised. But the colors weaving through Jason’s aura reflected a different light—dark, murky colors with flashes of a sickening green.

The phone was yanked from Reese’s hand. He heard it thump as it hit the ground. Hands gripped him under his arms and pulled him back to standing.

“Come on, Reese. Let’s go see your friend.”

“He’s not here.” He knew that. He was just talking on the phone to his lovely mate. He licked his dry lips. Kieve tasted so good. He felt so good.

His wolf came awake, wanting his mate. The presence of the animal cleared Reese’s mind enough to know this wasn’t right. He never had trouble walking. Why were his feet dragging? His mind was dragging, too. Something wasn’t right. He thought back.

Jason had offered to drive him to meet Kieve. Then he’d wanted Reese to try this new flavored water. Frustrated and eager to get to Kieve, Reese had finally gulped down the drink.

Then things started to get blurry.

The wolf’s instincts tried to create a panic in Reese’s chest, but it was as if a heavy blanket covered the emotions, muting the effect.

“Jason, something’s wrong. I don’t feel right.”

“No, it’s okay.” Jason’s voice hummed with an excitement that made the hairs on Reese’s arms stand up. “It’s going to be okay again. You’re back. It will all be okay now.”

“Back?” He had no place to go back to. His family had thrown him out. “No, I’m not...I’m home...I...”

“Very good, Reese.”

The female voice broke through the fog in his brain and his stomach dropped.

Diana. Doctor’s Assistant and Queen Bitch of Torture.

“I’d like for you to think of this as your home,” she murmured. “Welcome back, Reese.”

Kieve paced the front of the bar, the tension in his shoulders pulling on his neck.

“Everyone stay calm,” Micah ordered.

Kieve was relieved that no one else seemed to listen to Micah’s command either. Dex clung to Maddock. Rhian had her arms wrapped around her belly as if protecting the young life inside her.

After Kieve’s pronouncement, Micah had emptied the bar, leaving only the five of them. Dex had called Chance, the cop who seemed to be a regular. Kieve had met him yesterday when he’d been in. Chance was on his way over.
