“I’ll go crazy if I’m stuck in this room for ten days,” he said with a sigh before licking his butthole.

I arched a brow. “But we’ve got plenty to do.”

He stopped mid-lick to glare at me, his ears flattening against his skull. “Like what?”

I held up a furry hand, counting off activities on my fingers. ”Lick our butts, wait for Aedan by the door, chase our tails, bark at sirens.”

He stuck out his tongue. “Boring.”

He was right. We had nothing fun to do, but I guess it beat suffering in the eternal lake of fire. “How about this?” I grabbed a scrub brush with a long wooden handle off the side of the tub and ripped the loofa sponge off the top.

He eyed me skeptically. “What are you going to do with that stick?”

I flashed a knowing smile. “How about I throw it?”

He jumped up from his seat, so excited, he nearly fell-face first onto the floor. “Throw it, dammit! Throw it!”

Aedan O’Connor

I
awoke to the uncomfortable ache of a very stiff erection. I’d been dreaming of Ash. She’d taken me in her mouth and I was just about to climax before the sound of a piercing feminine giggle and then water splashing in my face pulled me from my sleep. Water? Wait. Not horny water! I opened my eyes, using a blanket to mop the water off my face. My hair was wet, too. But how? When I rolled onto my side, I saw three nude women in the bathtub. They must have splashed me while I slept. My instinct was to jump off the sofa and run into the bathroom. Instead, I’d been paralyzed with fear, and maybe curiosity. Or was it desire?

I thought about waiting until my erection subsided before taking action, but holy hell, there was no way I was getting rid of it anytime soon. Melanie was spread eagle on the side of the tub while one siren bent over her, her face buried in-between Melanie’s thighs. The other siren hovered on bent knees above Melanie’s face rolling her nipples between her fingers while Melanie’s tongue darted in and out of her dripping cavity.

Melanie moaned and bucked as the siren’s tongue delved in and out of her, and I knew she was on the verge of exploding. I thought about pulling them apart, but I feared they’d wrap their lips around my erection before I could stop them. I got up and rushed to the bathroom, making quick work of my erection before reluctantly going back out into the bedroom.

Melanie was screaming now, bucking hard against one siren while the other dripped juices into Melanie’s mouth.

I knew there would be no easy way to tear them apart. I covered my ears and screamed. “Leave this room, sirens!”

They both looked up at me with widened eyes and heavy pouts. “I said, leave!” I bellowed.

When they snarled at me, I jutted a foot forward. “You are not welcome here!”

They glared at me before sliding away from Melanie, sinking beneath the water, and disappearing.

Melanie sat up on her elbows, her large breasts heaving, and her nipples tight and pebbled. Her lips were wet and swollen, her mass of hair fanning out around her porcelain skin in crimson waves. “What just happened?” she asked as if in a daze.

That damn erection of mine came back with a vengeance. I shifted uncomfortably before grabbing a towel off a nearby bench and draping it over her nude body. “You were tricked by the sirens.”

“Oh,” she said before falling back against the tiles. “But it felt so wonderful.” She lifted one leg, slipping her hand beneath the towel. “So very wonderful.”

I turned my back on her. “I’m sure it did.”

“Perhaps you could finish what they started.”

Her plea was like a blade twisting deep in my sanity. Good God! How was I supposed to survive over a week alone with this woman?

I refused to turn around. “No.” My voice cracked. My spine stiffened, and it took all of my resolve to force a firmness into my tone. “You need to get dressed.” Then I walked back toward the bathroom to take care of my erection for a second time.

“A
edan, are you going to come out of there?” The tremors in Melanie’s voice were audible even from behind the door.

I looked up as the door handle gently rattled.

“Are you dressed?” I asked.

“Yes. I’m so sorry for what happened. Please come out. I won’t try anything again. I promise.”

Though she sounded sincere, I was still skeptical, and not just of Melanie, but of myself. After taking matters into my hands three times, I still couldn’t shake the desire to sink into her wet heat as that torturous image of Melanie and the sirens replayed in my mind.

I opened the door just a crack, bracing my weight against it in case I needed to slam it in her face. I was not prepared for her tear-stained, blotchy cheeks or her swollen eyes. Pity overshadowed my desire, but only for a moment. Soon the two emotions were warring with each other.

“Aedan, I’m sorry.” She sniffled, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. “I don’t know what happened.”

I heaved a frustrated groan. I knew exactly what happened. Now if I could only stop that nightmare scene from replaying in my mind. “You were seduced by sirens.”

She wrinkled her pert nose, and for the first time I noticed her slight smattering of freckles.

“I don’t even know what sirens are.”

“They work for the Devil. Whenever you see a siren, cover your ears and scream for them to go. They have to leave if they’re not wanted.”

“Oh, okay.” Her face paled and then flushed. “I orgasmed.”

I shifted uncomfortably, a familiar and unwelcome ache settling in my groin. “Yes, I know.”

“It was wonderful,” she said on a sigh before dropping her gaze. “I feel so ashamed.”

“Don’t be. You were tricked.” I fought the urge to give her an encouraging shoulder pat or hug by digging my nails into my palms. The pain rooted me to reality. Though I knew she didn’t mean it, this woman was dangerous.

She frowned. “But I’m supposed to be punished in hell, not feel pleasure.”

That image of her spread before the sirens kept playing in my mind. “Melanie, I don’t wish to talk of this anymore,” I spoke through a clenched jaw, my throat tightening as if I was being strung up by a noose.

She backed up a step. “Of course. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be.” I coursed my fingers through my hair, wanting nothing more than to slam the door in her face. “It’s not your fault.” That damn horny water was mostly to blame and not our libidos. At least, I hoped so.

She toyed with the sash on her low-cut skirt. “I should have said no.”

“If it makes you feel better, they tricked me and Ash, too.” Why did I tell her that? Good God, I hoped she didn’t ask for details.

Her jaw dropped, her full lips making a perfect O. I did my best not to think what those lips could do to me.

“They did?” She asked before leaning toward me. “Did they trick Santiago?” I recognized the suspicious tone in her voice, and though she tried to look concerned, I knew jealousy when I saw it.

“No. Not that I’m aware.” I couldn’t help but smile. “You like him, don’t you?”

“Yes.” She hung her head. “What will he think of me now?”

I opened the door, pity compelling me to leave the sanctuary of the bathroom and step out in the hall. I took a chance and leaned into her, instantly regretting it. That peach perfume was so tempting, and the way her red hair flowed around her shoulders like a crimson cascade made me want to reach out and run my fingers through it. I cleared my throat, trying to infuse self-control into my voice. “You need to stop worrying about everyone judging you.”

She kicked the stone tile with her bare foot. “I can’t help it.”

“He’ll understand, Melanie. All of it. He’s a good man.” That was a mouthful for me, considering Sarge had tried to steal my girl from me on more than one occasion. Still, he’d risked his soul to help me save Ash. For that I’d be eternally grateful. I figured I owed the guy a favor, and helping Melanie was one way to even the score.

“That’s the problem. He’s a good person, and I’m not.” She ended on a sob, biting down on her knuckles.

“Yes, you are.” I instinctively clutched her shoulders, searching her gaze. Luckily, the temptation I’d felt for her moments ago was starting to wear off. “You’re a very good person. How many years have you suffered in hell?”

She looked up at me with a watery gaze. “I-I don’t know. Time passes slower down here. I died in 1987.”

“You’ve suffered long enough.” I squeezed her shoulders and let go, cautiously backing up a step. That little bit of physical contact between us was enough to last a lifetime. Already, the ache in my groin was starting to return. What the hell was wrong with me?

“Not nearly.” She vehemently shook her head. “Not for the pain I’ve caused my family. The grief probably killed my parents. My mom and dad deserved a better daughter. They were saints.”

I smiled. “Then they’re probably in heaven with Matthew.”

She wiped moisture from her eyes. “I hope so.”

“If you want, I can deliver them a message after we escape.” I instantly regretted offering my services. What if her parents had become addicted to heaven’s amnesia cheesecake as my parents had done after they’d discovered my twin brother had been damned to hell? Or what if they resented their daughter for her poor choices and turned me away?

She sucked in a sharp breath. “You’d do that?”

I forced a smile. “Of course.” Too late to go back on my word now.

“Oh, Aedan,” she squealed before throwing her arms around my neck. “Thank you!”

I stiffened beneath her touch as heat flamed my skin. This was too, too much. Her body heat, her alluring scent, her soft skin. I quickly broke away, wiping a bead of sweat off my brow. “Melanie, it’s not that I don’t think you’re a wonderful person, but I think we should abstain from hugging from now on.”

She frowned, coursing a shaky hand through her wild hair. “Of course. You’re trying to stay faithful to Ash, and you don’t need any more temptation.”

“No.” I heaved a sigh of relief, so happy she understood my predicament. “I don’t.”

She turned up her chin, her full lips hinting a smile. “And I’m trying to stay faithful to Santiago.”

A mixture of joy and relief infused my heart. “He’ll be happy to hear that.”

A glimmer of doubt flashed in her eyes before she pasted on another smile. “Fingers crossed you’re right.”

Ash MacLeod

T
alk about boring. After wearing each other out all morning with a game of fetch, Sarge and I literally had nothing to do but groom ourselves. Sarge sat on the floor licking his tiny balls while I curled up on the sofa, growling as I itched a hot spot on my ass. Why did fleas like that particular part of me so much, anyway? I bit off a chunk of fur, whimpering at the ever-widening bald patch, and spit the fur on the floor. Three fleas hopped across the tile. I took pleasure in squishing them with my paw. Then my ass started to burn, and I knew their cousins were revolting.

“Hello, lovers. How would you like to play with us? We’re awfully horny.”

I jerked up, baring my teeth as two naked sirens stood in the bathtub. How the hell did they get in our room? I would have plugged the drains, but I wasn’t about to get into a tub of horny water ever again.

The sirens giggled, splashing us both.

I yelped, but it was too late. Water landed in my open jowls and splashed my eyes. Dammit! Horny water! I should have ducked for cover as soon as they emerged from the tub.

Sarge didn’t seem to mind getting wet as he ran them off in full-attack mode. “Arf! Arf! Arf!”

“You’re not welcome here!” I yelled. “Go, and don’t come back!” Though I knew that request would fall on deaf ears. They’d be back, and we’d tell them to piss off again.

After they disappeared, Sarge pissed all over the carpet. And not just in one spot, but everywhere, kicking up his legs after each dropoff. Then he trotted over to the tub and started drinking.

“Sarge!” I hollered. “That’s horny water.”

He lifted up his head, his ears pinned back. “I don’t care. I need more ammo.”

“You dumbass!” I growled, throwing a sofa pillow at him.

When he bit into the pillow, I thought he was going to shred it to pieces. Imagine my surprise when he started humping the stuffing out of it, growling with each thrust, like that pillow was his bitch.

Oh, Dear God in heaven, please save us from this insanity.

I grabbed an undefiled pillow and ran to the bathroom, sliding onto the floor and clutching the pillow to my chest while fighting the urge to rub it between my legs.

What the hell was wrong with me? Oh, yeah.  Horny water.

I breathed out a slow and shaky breath, forcing myself to think of something else. The first image that popped into my mind was Aedan’s bright blue eyes and rugged, dimpled smile. He was so dammed sexy. I still couldn’t believe that beautiful piece of man meat was my fiancé. I only hoped one day we’d actually be able to get married.

I thought about Mr. Head’s warning, that being with Aedan would feel like a noose after fifty years. And that’s when I came to the realization—Mr. Head was full of shit. Being
without
Aedan was more like being stuck in a noose. I was so frightened for us, and so lonely, I felt as if the air was being sucked from my lungs. Instead of worrying about the possibility of our marriage turning sour, I felt sorry for Mrs. Head for getting stuck with such a douche, and I made it a point to find her when I got back and tell her she didn’t have to spend eternity in a loveless marriage. That she had the right to move on. Me, on the other hand, I knew where I belonged—with Aedan.

I wondered what was going on in his room. Had the sirens splashed water on him and Melanie? Would he be able to stay faithful to me with so much temptation? Even if we escaped this place to the safety of purgatory with our souls intact, would our hearts be crushed?

I tried not to allow that day the sirens had tricked us taint our love for one another, but I couldn’t help but feel our relationship would never be the same. No, it couldn’t be the same. There would always be the day we’d succumbed to temptation. But that didn’t mean this blemish on our fidelity had to weaken our marriage. I hoped if we survived our trials and tribulations, we’d come out of this stronger. For despite everything that had happened, I still loved Aedan beyond anything. That had to count for something.
