“Get in the house girl,” she said with eight gold teeth in her mouth, four up top and four at the bottom. I watched her bowlegged swag as I followed her into the back door of her crib. From behind you would’ve swore Toni was a dude. She was built like a basketball player, wiry and tall. To keep it all the way one hundred, Toni wasn’t too feminine from the front either.

We sat down in her living room that was decorated with black leather furniture and a huge flat screen. A petite red bone bitch with a beautiful curvy ass and an average face brought me a bottled water and then sat down on Toni’s lap.

“Shanita saw you running from the cops on her way back from the store.” I nodded before I took the entire bottle of water to the head.

“Go get her another one.” Toni swatted Shanita on the ass as she jumped off his lap and did as she was told.

I carefully peeked out of the vertical blinds behind the sofa I was sitting on. The two dirty ass pigs who’d been chasing me were standing on the corner. The black one with a fro like Professor Clump was bent down in the passenger side window of a squad car. Shanita handed me another bottle of water and sat back down on Toni’s lap. Her ass jiggled like a bowl of jelly every time she took a step in her pink and white Aeropostale sweatpants. I remembered Toni coming into Meka’s shop with her when I was getting my hair done a while back. That was the only time I ever seen Shanita around the hood before that day.

I was surprised to hear Toni had let the bitch walk to the store on her own. Toni had a reputation of keeping her bitches cuffed and to her chest but I was glad she had a change of heart on that day. And I was glad Shanita had a good memory or my ass might’ve been sitting in the back of that squad car I’d just seen instead of on that black leather sofa from Ashley’s. There was no need to slam the second bottle of water. I was starting to catch my breath and my body temperature was starting to cool down. I sipped it like it was a cup of lean as I peeked out of the blinds again.

The squad car made a U-turn and headed east on Clarke Street. I assumed by how slow it was going that it was turning into the alley behind Toni’s crib. The two pigs who’d been chasing me began to search the block. I would’ve loved nothing more than to pull out my nine milli and send some hot ones their way. Let them know that two can play that game. However, acting off impulse had gotten a lot of muthafuckas in the streets jammed up. I wasn’t going out like that. Once common sense trumped emotion, I eased my way out of those blinds. They weren’t going to catch me slipping twice.

“Everything cool? Or is it still hot as my bitch’s pussy out there?” Shanita giggled as if she was tickled by the compliment. Toni’s voice wasn’t exactly like a man’s but it was a little deeper than mine and most other bitches I knew.

“The po-pos are still in the hood.”

“You know you’re welcome to chill ‘til the heat dies down.”

A cute chic with a real dark and shiny complexion stuck her head out a room at the end of the hall. “Toni, Shanita, how long yall gonna keep me waiting?” Her eyes went to me. “You said you had to make sure your friend was alright.” She smiled at me and licked her lips. “She looks more than fine to me. She looks delicious.” Shanita giggled and even Toni laughed.

“Trust me Porscha, if Phat Kat swung our way I would’ve gotten at her a long time ago,” Toni said winking at me as she and Shanita stood up. She smacked Shanita on the ass and of course she giggled all the way to the room where Porscha was waiting. I got a little embarrassed thinking about how me and Kim K. had our tongues in each other’s pussies just before her and Ivan turned on me. I would never tell and that secret would die with the both of them.

“I meant what I said Phat Kat.” I cleared my throat and arched my brow not knowing exactly what she meant. “You can chill as long as you need to. If you get hungry or thirsty, do yo thang because I’m about to do mine.”

“Handle yo business playa.” I waited until Toni went inside the bedroom before I pulled out my iPhone and dialed Meka’s number. I peeked out of the blinds while I waited for her to answer. There weren’t any police on Toni’s block that I could see. But it didn’t mean the hood wasn’t still hot. And that’s what I needed Meka’s help with.

Chapter 12

I started flipping through the channels on Toni’s sixty inch while I waited on Meka to pick me up. She went to her shop after we’d chopped it up earlier and spoke to the po-pos as a concerned business owner. They practically begged Meka to tell them anything she may know that would help them locate the suspect who successfully alluded them. Meka told me it took everything she had not to laugh in their face. They were desperate because none of the residents were cooperating.

I guess not, when you muthafuckas have shot down two unarmed young black men in the last eighteen months. Uptown was fed up with the boys in blue murdering their own just like the rest of the country. Kim K. wouldn’t tell them shit either. They ended up arresting her on disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice charges. We might’ve been enemies but we believed in sticking to the code of the streets. That bitch also knew Ivan would be down there to post the little five hundred dollar bail as soon as she was processed into booking.

Every time a car passed I peeked out of the blinds on some paranoid shit. A bitch wouldn’t truly feel like she’d gotten away until I was back in my hotel room. I really had to stay on my toes since it was night time. The MPD were like cockroaches in the hood when the sun went down. You just had to do your best to avoid them swarming on you until daylight, when they would usually scramble for cover.

I turned up the volume on the TV a little more to drown out all of the ooh’s and ah’s and moans coming from that back room. Two hours in and Toni and her bitches were still getting it on. The problem wasn’t that they were disturbing me or that I was grossed out by the lesbo ménage. I was trying to ignore them because they were turning me the fuck on. My pussy was wet and tingling and my nipples were harder than a muthafucka. Porsha or Shanita tonguing my shit down would’ve been a good stress reliever at that moment. Toni was my girl and all but I didn’t want her touching me in any type of sexual manner.

If I wanted what Toni was trying to be I would’ve just went out and got a real man. I kept flipping through the U-Verse, thinking what was the use of having all of the channels if nothing was ever going to be on? Until I came across a newsbreak on a homicide on one of Milwaukee’s local channels. My mouth dropped open when I noticed the news reporter chick standing in front of Pido’s auto body shop. I couldn’t believe it when they flashed a picture of Pido in the corner of the screen as the news reporter chick said the words, “…found dead in his place of business with a single gunshot wound to the back of the head.”

I turned up the volume even louder just to make sure I was hearing right. Then they cut to scenes of county morgue workers wheeling him out in a black bag on a stretcher. Then they showed the faces of three of his employees who were also killed execution style. I watched the county morgue workers wheel out three more black bags on stretchers as the news reporter chick narrated about the MPD’s only comment was the murders taking place sometime after shop hours the night before and when another mechanic found them early this morning.

I was annoyed with the news reporter chick when they cut back to her standing in front of the shop with yellow crime scene tape in the background. First of all, she was a little too animated to be reporting on death. On top of that, her muthafuckin hair was too damn stiff. The only black bitches I ever saw who used hairspray were on the news. At least no bitch in the ghetto hooks her shit up like that. I turned the TV off with my blood boiling.
Who in the hell would kill Pido? He was about the only one in the streets who never put any shit in the game when you did business with him.

The first muthafucka who came to mind was Ivan. If he somehow found out Pido sold me the Charger, he would’ve taken it as a sign of disrespect. In his world anyone who helps me is riding against him. Ivan also got a kick out of letting me know he was on my ass. I pulled my iPhone out of my jacket pocket and dialed Ivan’s number. He answered on the first muthafuckin ring as if he knew what move I would make before I did. Even when we were together, I hated when he was in my head that deep.

“Why the hell did you have to kill Pido?”

He laughed. “Michelle Walker, you are a very dangerous chick.”

Hearing my real name made me swallow hard and collect my thoughts. I’m sure that’s exactly why he used it. Ivan was always looking for a way to make your head spin.

“Everybody who tries to help you ends up dead, including Adrienne.” He laughed as I tried to collect my thoughts. There had been so much drama in the day I forgot to consider that Adrienne’s life was in danger. Once shit hit the fan it wasn’t hard for a sharp street nigga like Ivan to figure it all out.

It was fucking with me, knowing she died trying to help my yellow ass out. Don’t get it twisted, I was playing a game where I couldn’t afford to go soft. Muthafuckas die in the streets all of the time. Some by my hands and others just because that’s how shit goes. But Adrienne lost her life because I got her mixed up in my beef with Ivan and that weighed on my heart a little.

“This is how you wanna play the game, Ivan?”

“Don’t forget bitch, I make the muthafuckin rules.” He laughed and then ended the call.

I sat there steaming. It’s a fucked up feeling when you have murder in your heart but you can’t get to the one you want to kill. As I sat there for a while seeing red, it occurred to me what I could do. Meka hit my phone and let me know she was outside. She felt the hood might still be too hot for me to walk to where I left the Charger. Meka was a real bitch, who got down and stayed down. I walked out of Toni’s crib thinking that it was time for me to send my own message to Ivan and Kim K. Ivan might’ve made the rules to the game, but it didn’t mean I couldn’t add my own.

I scanned as much as I could of the quiet suburban block from behind the tinted windows of the Charger. I then hit the pipe hard, just like the dro hype I was. I hadn’t sucked any weed into my lungs since earlier at the shop with Meka. It was going on midnight and a bitch had needs. The Indigo Gold was so fire, all I needed a pinch to have me feeling like I was walking on the damn clouds. I was trying to make it last until I was finished with my business in the Mil and could shoot down to Denver to re-up. Meka was trying to get me to spark up some more when she picked me up. I hated to lie to my girl about not having anymore but some things a bitch had to keep to herself.

Once I sucked the pipe clean, I set it to the side and checked the chamber of the nine milli just to make sure I had one ready to go. I pulled a black Coogi skull cap over my head before slipping on black leather gloves. This was to match the black Coogi sweater, black leggings, and black Timbs I was rocking. A bitch was dressed to kill. I quietly slipped out of the Charger with the nine milli hidden in the man purse I had strapped around my waist.

There weren’t too many lights on as I casually walked around the block and into Kim K.’s mother’s backyard. The fucked up thing about falling out with your best friend is that you can’t take back any of the secrets you shared. Me and that white bitch were so close because we had so much in common, including the sexual abuse we both suffered growing up. The only difference was I had to fight off those nasty ass perverts in foster care, Kim K. had to fight off her own father. Once Kimberly Kolby started developing breasts and that unusually big ole ass of hers for a little white girl, her daddy lost interest in her mommy and started creeping in his daughter’s room at night.

The nasty muthafucka use to have her perform sexual tricks on him that would make a grown bitch feel ashamed. Little Kimberly use to cry and beg her father to stop, but she quickly learned it only turned him on even more. When she finally worked up the nerve to tell her moms, she smacked little Kimberly across the face and told her to never speak lies about her father again. Her mother adored her father more than life itself. He was her high school sweetheart and the only man she’d ever been with. She just couldn’t face the reality that the man of her dreams was really a sick ass child molester.

Little Kimberly finally broke down in school and told a guidance counselor what daddy had been doing to her at nights. Of course she begged and pleaded with the man not to call her mother. The counselor explained it was his job to inform her mother and the authorities about these despicable crimes. So when her moms got the call from the school that the police were notified and need her permission to speak with little Kimberly, she instantly called her husband at work. She had to warn him their little girl was spreading lies and the police were going to want him to explain his side of the story.

That was the last time she spoke to her husband. He immediately left work and was never heard of or seen again. After a week went by, her mother couldn’t stand the sight of little Kimberly any longer. She was a constant reminder of why she’d lost her one true love. She kicked little Kimberly out of the house at the age of thirteen. And told her not to bring her little fast ass back until she cleared her father’s name and got him to come back home. Little Kimberly had nowhere to go but the streets. Where she picked up the game and swag that ultimately transferred the bitch into Kim K.

After all of the abuse and heartache, Kim K. never stopped loving her mother. She began to reach out to her after her mother had two knee replacement surgeries. As long as Kim K. did her grocery shopping, cleaned up the house and cooked, and ran other errands, her mother was cool with her being around. I told Kim K. she was a much bigger woman than I was because I would’ve left that old bitch to rot. Especially after Kim K. noticed her mother left the back door open every night so her father could creep in if he ever decided to come home.

The same back door I crept in with a firm grip on the nine milli. I wrinkled my nose as I carefully moved through the kitchen. It smelled like a mixture of muscle rub and pot roast. The light from a TV was projecting onto the wall outside of what I assumed was her bedroom. I didn’t know if she was still up or fell asleep with it on. Either way I was about to murder this old bitch in cold muthafuckin blood. By me knowing what it’s like to be sexually abused at a young age, it always made me wonder about this old bitch’s mental state.

How the fuck could you let your little girl suffer through something like that? You had to be a heartless muthafucka to turn your back on your own daughter being raped repeatedly. If you ask me, that old bitch got to live a longer life than she deserved. My heart was beating from the excitement of knowing I was going to accomplish a lot with one murder. This was my response and revenge for Ivan killing Pido and Adrienne.

I forgot her mother had a fucking cat. The little fur ball just happened to be sleeping in the middle of the kitchen floor. It jumped up and hissed when I stepped on its back. I aimed the nine milli and put the muthafucka to sleep for good. The silencer screwed on the end of the barrel shut shit down so quietly.

“Stanley! Is that you?!”

I quickly rounded the corner and into the old bitches room.

“Finally! After all of these ––” Her joy disappeared instantly when she instantly when she looked up and saw me standing in the doorway with my nine milli aimed at her face. She used her cane to make it to her feet. “Nigger girl, what are you doing in my house?”

I smiled at her and then popped that old bitch ibn the face a couple of times and in the chest just because I had so little respect for her punk ass. I got out of the house quietly and quickly and walked around to the front where Kim K.’s Beemer was still parked. I took the Charger key and etched You Can Never Be Me
,
on the side of her shit and walked off like I was going for an evening stroll. I was on a muthafuckin rampage and I wanted Ivan and Kim K. to know it.
