“Brody I’m not stupid.  I’ve had this conversation so many times with guys like you.  I’m the in between girl.”

“Whit?  Whit the fuck is a "in between girl"?”

I sigh, “the girl guys go to when they want to fuck until the next sexy goddess lands in their bed.  I learned to except that a few years back.”

“Aaww love, noo.  Believe me please when I tell ye it’s ye thit I wan uor as long as ye’ll huv me.”

He kisses me long and soft.  I start to melt into him when we both freeze and turn our heads to the sound of someone clearing their throat.

“Sorry tae interrupt again mate, but mum has asked fur ye.”  Kevin says with a grin.  How long has the shithead been standing there?

“Dude, stoap cock blocking me.”  Brody says with a chuckle and grabbing my hand and tugging me along with them to the house. Brody hooks his arm around my waist and looks at me grinning.

“What?”

“I wiz jist thinking thit the last time I walked into ma parent’s hoose and had tae hide the embarrassment of a hard-on wiz whin I wiz a teenager.  Ye huv gotten me so fucking turned on and I canni wait tae rectify thit tonight, if ye’ll huv me.” He says with a groan while nuzzling into my neck.

“Mmm, I’ll get back to you on that. Right now you need to go see your mom.”

“I physically canni, I need git rid of this first.”  He says pointing to very noticeable very large bulge in his pants.

“Want me to go in first and give you a minute?” I ask, half serious.

“Aye, cause if I stand here being able tae touch and look at ye it’s never going tae go away.”

“ok.” I peck his cheek and with a sneaky grin I walk up the steps into the house.  I hear him groaning behind me which makes me smile more.

“Keep wiggling thit fine arse sweetheart and I’ll bend ye over thit swing.”  I turn back to look at him and see that he’s adjusting his fine package looking at me.  I turn back around and head into the house. I walk into the house and Brody’s dad and brother were sitting on the couches talking and his mom was cooking away in the kitchen.  I say hi to the guys first and then head into the kitchen to see if Donna needed any help.  As I’m walking by Kevin asks where Brody was.  I smirked and answered, “He just needed a minute to himself.”  Kevin nods and smiles knowing why.  I reach the counter that divides the two rooms and Donna looks up and smiles.

“Ah, thair ye are hunni!  I wiz beginning tae think ye changed yer mind aboot dinner.”

“Oh no, sorry.  I just needed to check on some things in my truck.  Can I help you with anything?”

“No nonsense, ye are oor guest, sit there.  Would ye like something tae drink?  We huv water, Pepsi, wine?”

“I’ll have a glass of wine if it’s really no trouble.”  Donna smiles and just as she is about to get it Brody walks in.

“I’ve got it mum.”  He says with a wink at me and a kiss on the cheek for his mom. I blush of course from his wink.  His mom turns back to the stove and Brody comes around the counter and hands me my wine.  He brushes my hair to the opposite side and nuzzles into my neck and he moans and whispers in my ear.

“God ye smell delicious.  I wasn’t able tae fix ma little problem; I canni stoap thinking aboot ye. It looks like I’m forever going tae be a walking hard-on cause whether or noo I’m wi ye it seems I’m hard as steel.”  He starts kissing my neck and leaves a trail moving up to my ear and nibbles my ear.  Damn this man.  If it was his intentions to torture me and make me all heated up again, mission complete!  His mom walks back over and starts talking to Brody.

“Son huv ye had a chance tae speak wi Annie aboot staying the night since her truck needs a little mare work done?”

“Aye, we’ve talked some.  I’m still convincing her tae stay, hoping she wull cave in soon.”  He says smiling at me.

“Aye, Annie.  Ye canni drive yer truck wi thit many problems.  Kevin and William are going tae git tae work on it first thing in morrow.”  Donna replies.

“See, love.  We’ll git it sorted oot fur ye.”  Brody says.

“Ok, I cave.  I’ll stay for tonight.”  I say with a joking sigh and smile. “I’ll run out and get my bag and be right back in.”  I say jumping off the stool.

“Jist tell me which one love and I wull go git it fur ye.”  Brody says starting to walk away.

“The purple back pack, thanks.”  I tell him with a smile.  He winks back and heads out of the house.

“He’s really quiet smitten wi ye?”  Donna says while walking back to the stove.

“Why would you think that?”

“Hunni, I ken ma boys.  I haven’t seen that much passion in Brody’s eyes since his rugby days.”

“Rugby?  That’s like our football, right?”

“Aye yes.  He use tae play in school.  He wanted tae be a professional.  Would huv been if he didn’t git his bum knee.  Since then he has been a moody pain in the arse, blaming the world.  Bit then ye break doon and suddenly thairs light back in his eyes, he’s happy.”

“Has he not had relationships in the past?”  What the hell am doing!  Why am I having the conversation with a guy’s mother?

“Aye, I’m sure he has, after all he is a guy, and we ken they canni go wi oot a little romp in the sheets.”  OMG!  Where is Brody?  Subject change is needed.

“Um… well, we just met each other and I’m just passing through to Boston.”

“Annie, when Brody sets his mind tae something, he doesn’t give up.  He likes ye and ye can bet yer arse he wull see ye after today.  Dae yae ken he is jist minutes from Boston?”

“yes” I say quietly.

“Then why dae ye think ye won’t be able tae huv any sort of relationship wi him?”

“I like him, I really do, I just haven’t had any luck in that department.”

“Give him a chance, ye’ll never ken whit it could lead tae, if ye jist walk away ye may wonder “whit if” fur a long time.”  Just then Brody walked back in.

“Whit ye lasses talking aboot?”  he asks and gives me a peck on top of my head.

“Nothing thit concerns ye son.  Go git yer Da and brother, dinner is ready.”

Brody heads a few feet into the living room.

“Think aboot it Annie, it could aw be worth it.”  Donna says with a grin and continues dishing up dinner

Chapter 4

We’re all sitting down eating and I’m finding I’m really enjoying this family.  They share love, kindness, respect, and I would love to have that in a family.  I grew up not knowing any of my aunts, uncles and cousins from either parent. I don’t even know my grandparents.  Sitting here watching the friendly bantering and storytelling and the infectious laughter I am longing for that.

Brody and Kevin are telling childhood stories about each other, the friendly brother banter, typical kid/teen pranks.

“Brod, membur yer seventeenth barthday party.  We were aw playing truth or dare.”  Kevin starts laughing.  He continues “it was your turn and ye chose dare.  Sarah-“Kevin turns to me to say, “she had the biggest crush on Brody and had apparently told some girls at school she wiz going tae hook up wi him at his party.  Anyways, as soon as he said dare she blurt out, ‘I dare ye tae take off yer claes!’ “

“Whit! Whair were yer Da and I when this happened?”  Donna asked shocked.

“Awe, mum, we weren’t weans anymore.” Brody said laughing.

“Brody’s best mate Jake had said he needed tae dae something mare daring then thit, Brody takes his claes oof aw the time since he’s been shagging aw the girls in school.  So I piped in, saying thit he had tae noo only take his claes oof but had tae run doon the street and back nekked!”

“No, Brody, tell me you didn’t.”  I say to him laughing.  He is chuckling and answers.

“Aye, I did, but whit ma dear brother is leaving oot is whit they did tae me when I got back.” Brody says looking at Kevin.

“What did you do?”  I ask Kevin.

“We locked the doors and left tae go tae the carnival.  The poor basturt had tae sit ootside waiting fur mum and Da tae git hame.”

“Aye, I remember thit.”  William, as I find out through dinner, Brody’s dad says.  “I got ye in the hoose afore yer poor mum saw and had a heart attack.  Kev, ye were lucky it wiz evening and he didn’t git picked up by the police. Ye would huv been punished mare than ye boys were fur thit incident.”

“Aye, well it did me some guid thit punishment, cause I goat a joab oot o' it, Aye Da?” Kevin nudges his dad’s shoulder.

“Aye son.  Yer a right pain in ma arse standin in ma way aw day.”  William says and we all laugh.

“Well, as much as I’m enjoying this walk doon memory lane, Annie, would ye join me in a walk?”

“Um, sure.”  Brody out stretches his hand and I take it.  He pulls me up, gives me a quick kiss and leads us out the door.

“I hope ye are enjoying yer stay so far.”

“I am.  Your parents and Kevin are all wonderful.  Your very luck you have them.”  The last bit said in mumble.

“Aye, I am.  Whit  boot yer family?  Are ye close tae thum?”

“No.”

“Why noo?”

“Well, short version.  My dad is an abusive drunk, who cares only for my younger sister.  She is a spoiled brat and only cares about herself.  And my mom is mentally and emotionally messed up and blames me for always setting my father off.”  We walk quietly for a while.  Hand in Hand.  He has brought us out back of the house in into the woods on a trail.

“Love, I’m sorry ye huv had thit horrible upbringing.”  He gives me a hug and a kiss that starts out as a couple light touches of our lips then he deepens it.  He wraps one arm around my waist pulling me into him, while his other hand is tangled in my hair holding my head still for him kiss me and mimicking the way I’m sure he is would like our other body parts to be doing right now.  Honestly, I want that more than anything right now too.  Just as my hands start their ascend up his chest under his shirt, he lets out a soft moan and starts talking in between kissing.

“mmm, ye ken- I did bring- ye oot here-fur a reason- other than this.”

“oh-and what-would that-be?”  he pulls completely away then.

“I wan tae show ye something.”  He says while adjusting his bulge and I can’t help not watching him do it.

“Well if it’s that you have your hands on just now, I wouldn’t be completely against it.” Giving him a grin.

“I’m glad tae ken, bit I wanna show ye were I go tae git away.”  He takes my hand and we are walking further into the woods on a small path.

“Are you sure you’re not bringing me out here to kill me?”  I say it jokingly but a small part of me is nervous about that.

He chuckles, “Annie, I’ve told ye awready, I’m noo a creepy, psycho, rapist lady killer.  I’m noo going tae hurt ye.  Ok?”

“Ok.  So, where are we going exactly?”

“Thair.”  He points to the massive boulder and its sitting in the middle of a brook.

“I like to sit on top and just listen to nature.”

“It’s beautiful here.”

“Come, let’s go up”

“But it’s getting darker out shouldn’t we be getting, you know out of the woods so we aren’t lost out here and eaten up by bears and wolves.”  Brody wraps his arms around me waist and hugs me tight against him and whispers in my ear.

“Baby, the only one who wull be eating ye up is me, and I canni fucking wait tae taste ye.”  He licks my ear causing me to shiver.  He looks at me with a grin and slaps my ass and says, “now get up on that rock.  We aren’t going to get lost I know my way around here, there’s nothing to worry about.”  I follow him to the rock and he to my surprise has a little step ladder he must have made himself as a child, I smiled at it thinking of a little Brody building the steps and playing out here in the woods.

“Love, are ye going tae come up on yer own or dae I need tae git doon and throw ye ower ma shoulder and bring ye up?”

“Ha, no way you could do that, I’d break your back.” Brody jumps down and picks me up.

“Brody! Seriously put me down!  You’re going to hurt yourself!”  He doesn’t put me down.  He fucking walks up the little ladder and places me up on the rock and hops up with me.

“Thair.  Noow, whair were we?”  He says scooting back more.  Then he grabs me by the waist and lifts me up and on to his lap. I try to get off his lap to sit next to him, but he’s not having it.

“Sweetheart, keep moving roond like thit and ye are going tae make me come way afore I’m ready tae.”  I stop moving and he turns me around and positions me so I’m straddling him.

“Annie, whit’s yer full name?”  why does he want to know?

“Anastasia Nolan.  Why?”

“Cause ye ken mine and had yet tae ken yers.  I told yae.  I wan tae git tae ken ye.”

“I’d like to get to know you too.”  There I admitted it.  I want to know this man and see where it could go.

Brody smiles and there is this sparkle in his eyes.  I’ve never seen anything like that in a man’s yes when they have looked at me.  Usually it’s with drunken lust or disgust.  Looking into Brody’s eyes sends shivers through me.  He notices and rubs his hands up and down my arms.  Not helping.  Just causes me to get gooses and shiver again. Damn what this man does to me with just the simplest touch.
